ICAP 2026 will be held at the internationally renowned Fortezza da Basso, a fort inserted in the fourteenth century walls of Florence.Its official name is the Fortress of Saint John the Baptist (Fortezza di San Giovanni Battista) and it was designed by Antonio da Sangallo the Younger for Alessandro de’ Medici, Duke of Florenceand built between 1534 and 1537.
With the total area of nearly 100,000 square metersit the largest historical monument of Florence and offers excellent auditoriums, exhibition halls, foyer, and meeting/session rooms in the light and open tradition of Italian architecture and design.
The venue, perfectly positioned in the historic centre, is a few steps away from the best hotels, the central station and 15 minutes far from the Amerigo Vespucci airport by car. Now also easily reachable by tram.
